Hmm... Kim, I'm sorry to say, this is a bug. The theme and toolbar are supposed to work as a single unit. This is part of the value we bring to our partners by helping their fans get back to the Team site. That's the official answer and I'm sticking by it.
The other answer is: it looks like you can do it in a two step process (at least I did). I went to Tools --> Add-ons --> Extensions, and then Click "Disable" for the Columbus Blue Jackets Toolbar. (At this point, I restarted. You may not need to.) Then under Add-ons --> Themes, make sure "Use Theme" is selected for the Columbus Blue Jackets Theme. Restart. You should have what you want.
I would not "uninstall" the toolbar. User's were getting confused about having to remove both the Extension and Theme when trying to uninstall our product. To simplify, we linked the uninstall so it should remove both if you uninstall one. So, as described above, I would just "disable" the toolbar.
Now, if you're feeling generous, I'd ask that you switch the search in the browser back to Yahoo! (I saw Google in your screen shot.) Y! is our business partner, and that relationship helps us to do our work. So, I'd invite you to try them again and see if they meet your search needs.
In any case, thanks for using our product and I hope I've helped.
Ah! It worked, thanks so much. It's just that I already have my full NHL toolbar so it was kind of repetitive. Trust me, the CBJ organization (and several other NHL teams, for that matter) get more money from me than I actually have most of the time. It's a horrible addiction.
Thanks for the help, I've officially switched to Yahoo! for this, and promise to go insane at the Blue Line store at the game on the 12th.
