Don't want yahoo on firefox theme
Is it possible to not have the yahoo toolbar/quicksearch in the canucks theme? I really don't like the clutter in my web browser, I prefer a minimalist look to my desktop.

OK, Sorry about that. Follow these instructions. Note they look similar to the tabSearch, but the name of the preference is different.
Type about:config in your browser's url bar.
Click "I'll be careful, I promise"
Right click and select New->Boolean
For the preference name, type:
extensions.brandthunder.keywordSearch
set it to false.
Next, search in the filter for keywordURL
Right click on it and select reset.
Once you have done this, the keyword search should not reset itself anymore.

Inappropriate?Hi, thanks for submitting your question.
Do you want to 'remove' the searchbar completely, or just change the search engine to something else?
If you want to remove it:
1. Right-click on he toolbar, and click 'customize'.
2. Then drag the search widget into the customize popup dialog.
3. Click 'done'
Now you have no search bar! -
You never answered the question pertaining to the problem of yahoo as the default keyword search engine, even after I change the about:config files, it reverts right back to yahoo after I close the browser and reopen it, I want to be able to customize it, not let it customize me. -
Inappropriate?You can turn off or on any of the toolbars in Firefox by going to selection View->Toolbars.
Hope that helps. -
Inappropriate?God, what a dumb question it was, I realised. When installing the theme pack, it said that it made yahoo the default search engine. I thought that it had added the whole yahoo toolbar etc when I first installed it, and posted a question on here in haste without actually looking into the problem with any detail. Sorry for wasting a very brief moment of your time on this...

Inappropriate?No worries!! Thanks for the note.

Inappropriate?Not a stupid question
even though I remove it as suggested
when I close all the tabs (with FireFox browser still open)
it leaves a semi-blank page with Yahoo Search
Is there a way to remove that?!? -
Inappropriate?Try this:
Type about:config in your browser's url bar.
Click "I'll be careful, I promise"
Right click and select New->Boolean
For the preference name, type:
extensions.brandthunder.tabSearch
set it to false.
This should disable the tab search -
