Please help me out as I really need to get back to what I wanted. Thanks.

I'm sorry you're having a problem.
Are you referring to the search engine in the upper left?
Our Boom shouldn't interfere with the Google toolbar.
To uninstall it, you can click the "BT" icon on the right side of the toolbar and click "Uninstall".
Or you can select Tools->Addons in Firefox, click on the Extensions Tab and uninstall from there. -

Hello Michael and thank you for your reply. I'm referring to the red boom bar and the search area on the left side. I've only had problems since that was put on with the last FF. I wish it could be as easily got rid of as you say, but whenever I try to uninstall from the cog-shaped logo at the right end of the CB bar nothing at all happens. If I go via the Tools, Add-ons way I get the message below.
"A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
Script: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js:623"
I click to continue and nothing happens! Can you possibly help me any further?

By the way, I'm sure this is all linked to Bing as that's been in the background for months and shows up just after I've put something into the Google bar. There's then a flash of "Bing" there every time before moving onto the answers that I'm looking for.

What you are actually encountering is unfortunately a bug with Personas.
Personas broke a lot of extensions recently. What you need to do is uninstall Personas for now.
To do this, you need to start Firefox in safe mode:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/s...
All your addons will be disabled and then you can remove Firefox.
I posted some information here:

Sorry for the hassle. -

I've done as you said Michael, but everything went completely haywire as a result and I can no longer get FF up, let alone use it.!! I even did a System Restore, but all to no avail. I've now had to resort to using IE all the time!
Unhappy! Sue -

I'm very sorry this is happening to you. Have you been upgraded to Firefox 3.6.10 yet? It should fix these problems.
